Well, we're officially here. We've arrived in Vermont for the summer. Me, the kids, and two very furry cats. The kids are asleep upstairs and the cats are splayed behind me on the back of the sofa. Hubby is back at our main home, doing the daily commute to Boston and civilization. He has a/c, tivo, and 24 hour pharmacies. I have no Starbucks, no grocery stores - save for the jiffy mart at the gas station, really pretty good - no long distance phone service, and the only internet is the one I'm presently "borrowing" from an unaware neighbor. There are no street lights, no stop lights, no light whatsoever after the sun goes down, other than a few 60 watt bulbs and the glow of the fireflies.

I could lie down in the middle of main street right now and would run a fairly good chance of escaping with my life.

Pretty cool, huh? And you gotta love those fireflies.
